We contracted C2 to build our new 5,000 sq. ft. home in Lakecliff, Spicewood, TX in 2000.  We had visited a Partners in Building show home in Serene Hills, Lakeway and believed the design was close to what we wanted.  During the process, however, Partners decided to withdraw from the Austin homebuilding market.  We were advised by Jim McCauley, one of Partners sales agents, that Shannon Nelson, C2 Custom Building LLC was one of their builders and would be able to help us. From the very start, Shannon has been an ideal choice from the initial planning stage to final completion and beyond.  We highly recommend C2 to anyone who wants to build a new custom home.

Some things worth noting:

• The design and planning stage was iterative, efficient, and straightforward.
• Once we decided to proceed, the contract was in perfect order with all things explained to our satisfaction, either in person or via Zoom meetings when we were away.
• Shannon is very customer oriented and doesn’t take on too many projects allowing him to concentrate on doing a good job with his clientele.
• Construction was efficient, well managed and within budget, despite the supply chain issues associated with Covid. All subs, apart from the plumbers, did a good job and were well supervised by Shannon and his foreman, Cody Metcalf.  Cody is a great guy and we have appreciated his diligence and follow-up throughout the process.
• Most importantly, Shannon and Cody delivered on their promises and didn’t need be pestered to get things done. We now consider them as friends as well.
• We are delighted with our new home, and we owe a lot of that satisfaction to their effort and dedication to our project.

We have been living in our beautifully-designed and well-built C2 Custom Building home for three-and-a-half years now and could not be happier with our decision.  This is the third custom home we have had in almost 30 years, and it stands heads-and-shoulder above the other two, which were impeccably-built award-winning homes in their own right, back in Virginia.  From the ideal placement of our home on the lot, to the finishing touches, we have zero regrets or things we would change if we were to build again all over today, save for some minor more convenient improvements we might have added, in retrospect, after three years of living in our spectacular home.

Shannon is a person with exemplary integrity and honesty.  He helped steer us from potential pitfalls when we were actively involved in the initial design of our home, using his extensive knowledge in the building industry to offer alternative designs or solutions for a better outcome.  The results, to date, have proved to be a testimony of his expertise and caring enough for his clients, to avoid having them suffer disappointment in the future.  His suggestions, more often than not, saved us not only time, but money in the process.  A remarkable individual like this was a blessing for us, as we moved and built here concurrently from out-of-state and during the pandemic-----a daunting experience made much easier knowing that we had a talented, caring and trustworthy partner watching out for us.

I would like to offer one final note that reinforced our decision to have C-2 Custom Building build our home-of-all-homes:  We live in a neighborhood of beautiful and impressive custom homes, built by some outstanding builders.  The amount of after-built service work, which typically is needed to “adjust” or fine tune the final product, for us, has been far less than our neighbors---and in about half of the cases----by a wide margin.  Shannon Nelson and the C-2 Custom Building team builds right, with less need to return to repair, replace or add-on to the initial construction, because of cutting corners or short-sightedness.  Return visits to complete work or finish it properly is a tremendous inconvenience to the new homeowner, and this is just another reason that we have referred C-2 Custom Building to our friends as well. Bill & Yolanda, Spicewood, TX
